Terms of use
PowerPic is provided free of charge by Peter Morawiec ("the author"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.
- License. You may download and use PowerPic for personal or commercial purposes. The software and its branding remain the property of the author; you may not resell, rebrand, or redistribute modified copies.
- No warranty. PowerPic is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It is beta software; features may change or break.
- Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damages arising from the use of (or inability to use) PowerPic, including lost data, lost profits, or incidental or consequential damages.
- Your content. You are responsible for what you capture, annotate, and share, and for having the rights to do so.
- Changes. These terms may be updated from time to time; the current version always lives on this page.
Privacy
- No telemetry. The app collects no analytics and sends no usage data anywhere. There are no accounts.
- Your captures stay local. Screenshots, annotations, history, and projects are stored only on your Mac (under
~/Library/Application Support/PowerPicand wherever you save files). - AI features are opt-in per request. Apple Intelligence runs entirely on-device. If you choose Google Gemini (and supply your own API key), whenever you issue a prompt, your prompt text and your current image + annotations will be sent to Google for processing under Google's API terms. Your key is stored in the macOS Keychain.
- Feedback. The optional Send Feedback form transmits your inquiry (plus your app version, macOS version, and locale), and files it as a GitHub issue in the author's private repository. Including your email is optional.
- This website is a static site served by Cloudflare; we set no cookies and run no trackers in your browser. Our CDN processes standard request logs, from which we see only aggregate stats (e.g. downloads by country).
Support
- To contact the author, please use the Send Feedback… feature in the app.
